May Updates
We have some exciting updates to share with you! Things are getting real over here in the Bast household! In just a little over two months we will be arriving in Germany...we officially have our plane tickets and fly out from Minneapolis on July 23rd!
This month we started an online pre-field training course through Reach Global with 17 other missionaries who will be serving in various parts of the world. It has been so great connecting with them, hearing their stories, and hearing about what they will be doing.
In April, we had the privilege and a blast sharing about Black Forest Academy at our home church with the elementary schoolers. This month, I was able to visit City Church in Minneapolis to talk about our ministry and to connect.
Later this month we will be closing on our house (We'll be able to continue to live here until mid-July)
Last month was Kristen's last shift with the foot care clinic. I will be wrapping up my 8th year of teaching at Tartan High School the beginning of June.

The kids are all set to go with their schools for the 2022-2023 schoolyear and we have housing lined up as well. Joelle and Amber will be at a bilingual elementary school nearby and Kara got into a German preschool just down the street from us.
It has been so awesome seeing how things have been coming together...as of this week, we have 100% of our monthly support needs met through commitments and donations. We are SO grateful and humbled by the partnerships and generosity!

For Black Forest Academy as they students and staff are wrapping up this school year.
We are recovering from Covid and are feeling a bit drained physically.
