We have arrived!

On Sunday night we made it to Germany!

This week we’ve been busy doing things to get settled into our new home …we registered at the Rathaus and are doing some the things that come with moving to a new country (getting over jet-lag, learning how to sort garbage, meeting neighbors, figuring out banking, insurance, a car, unpacking - 5 out of our 12 suitcases made it here. We are still waiting on the other 7 suitcases to arrive. We live on the 2nd story of the house seen below.

Our hosts, Katrina and the Hills have been so gracious with car rides, meals, showing us around, and answering a billion questions.

It’s been super fun (and humbling) to dive into the German language again. The kids made friends with a neighbor boy tonight and randomly would say the few German words they know to try to connect.

Jameson briefly visited BFA today, met some staff and saw his ceramics classroom.

New staff orientation begins on the 4th of August.

We are excited to be here!!!

It is very humbling getting settled into a new place where everything is new.

A prayer request: for Joelle’s neck muscle/ it’s been pretty sore and we’ve been working with it to not be so stiff.
